【333大小姐说展柜】找章娅妮定制展柜,生产周期相对较长一些

在我刚开始做业务的初期,有2次为了接下订单,帮客户赶上交期,硬着头皮答应了客户的赶货要求。


表面上看是接下了订单,实则是两败俱伤。


事情是这样的。


那次正好是国庆前的一个月,9月份,每年9月份是工厂订单最多的时候,因为客户扎堆开业,在中国,国庆、五一都是黄金周,婚宴、开业、搬迁多数会选择在这时候,而且全国都放假,大家都出来带动经济了,黄金周是商家出业绩最好的节日,因此我们工厂也特别忙。


一个做珠宝的新客户找到我,他说,由于他图纸确认的比较慢,商场审批也出了一点问题,导致现在找了3家厂,要不就是制作质量达不到要求,要不就是人家工厂直接拒绝了他。


他问了几个同行,才找到我们鑫峰展柜厂。当天早上通的电话,当天下午他就到工厂来了,看在他行动这么急切的份上,我感觉到他应该真的是很着急。


他恳求我一定要帮他制作,我看了一下图纸,这批展柜真不简单,至少要35-40天的时间比较妥当,但是现在离国庆节只有25天不到的时间了,图纸、价格、汇款流程都还没走完,确实来不及。


客户在工厂跟我磨了好几个小时,真的走投无路了,不开业也不行,商铺都租了,只剩展柜制作,我合计合计,或许也是可以的,毕竟自己工厂是专业生产展柜的,跟厂长协商一下,还是可以插单进去做的。


而且订单价格还是很不错的,就这样,接下了这个订单,客户预付了80%的定金。


没曾想,一个悲剧就此开始了。


是一个全新没有制作过的款式,在制作过程中,拆解施工图就多花了几天时间,后期生产过程中,2个小失误,直接导致了返工,时间又延长了几天,最终的结果就是让客户国庆还是没办法如期开业。


按照合同,我们延期了7天,按照总金额的百分比做出了赔偿,商场也对客户进行了重罚,我这就是典型的得不偿失。


对交期和工艺复杂程度的误判,让工厂和客户都双重损失。


所以定制生产的散货展柜订单,生产周期相对较长一点。请大家一定要谅解一下。


我也不会为了多挣一点钱,就再去接负荷不下的订单,接的订单必须是自己100%有把握可以生产交货的展柜。


望大家多一些理解,多一些沟通,多一些新人。

Why might it take longer to have display cases made by Zhang Yani?


In the early days of my business career, I accepted orders twice to meet urgent deadlines for clients, despite the risks involved.


On the surface, it seemed like I had secured the orders, but in reality, it was a lose-lose situation.


Here’s what happened.


It was September, a month before National Day, typically the busiest time of the year for our factory due to a surge in orders as businesses aim to open during China's Golden Week holidays, such as National Day and Labor Day. These holidays see many weddings, openings, and relocations, as most people are on vacation and out shopping, thus providing the best opportunity for businesses to boost their sales. Consequently, our factory was extremely busy.


A new customer in the jewelry business approached me. Due to delays in confirming his designs and some issues with mall approvals, he had already consulted three other factories, but none could meet his requirements or were willing to take on the job.


After asking around among his peers, he found us at Xin Feng Display Cases. He called us in the morning and visited the factory in the afternoon. Seeing his urgency, I sensed he was indeed desperate.


He pleaded with me to take on the project. Upon reviewing the design, I estimated it would take at least 35 to 40 days to complete, yet there were fewer than 25 days until National Day. The process of finalizing the drawings, pricing, and payments hadn't even begun, making it virtually impossible to meet the deadline.


The customer spent hours negotiating with me at the factory, truly at a loss. Not opening wasn’t an option as he had already rented the space and only needed the display cases to be ready. After careful consideration, I thought it might still be feasible, given our factory specializes in display cases, and after discussing with the plant manager, we decided to fit the order into production.


Moreover, the order price was quite attractive, so we took it on, with the client paying an 80% deposit upfront.


Little did I know, this decision would mark the beginning of a tragedy.


It was a completely new design, which added several days to the initial phase of breaking down the construction drawings. Later, two minor mistakes during production led to rework, further delaying the process. Ultimately, the client couldn’t open on National Day as planned.


According to the contract, we were seven days late and had to compensate the client based on a percentage of the total amount, while the mall also penalized the client heavily. This was a classic case of losing money on both sides due to misjudgment of the lead time and complexity of the work.


Therefore, custom-made individual display case orders generally require a longer production cycle. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.


I won’t take on any more orders than our capacity allows just to make extra profit; every order taken must be one we are 100% certain we can deliver.
