发生这个事情，真的想抽自己几个大耳刮子。

该交的学费一分少不了，该踏入的坑一个不能少

事情是这样的

昨天出口一批欧洲的珠宝展示道具，下单、打款、制作、出货都非常顺利，一切不要太顺利了，40天时间交完货出厂。

专注在自己擅长的领域就是好，不仅做手表、珠宝展柜，也做手表、珠宝的陈列道具，国内像我们这样有30多年生产经验的工厂，应该找不出第二家。正因为专业，所以生产过程也特别融洽，每一个同事都做好自己的那部分，最终就呈现出完美的结果。

前天天客户汇完20%的尾款，货代就跟我约好今天上午来工厂提货，车型、重量、数量、提货单都是提前定好的。

大货车早上8点半就到了工厂，9点钟准时上货，20分钟时间搞定，发走了。

到了晚上，货物到了深圳盐田港的仓库，仓库的人检查出来，一个问题，竟然是我们的货物卡板不合格！

跟货代的人沟通了30分钟，也再三跟仓库确认，确实不行。

那怎么办呢？第二天就要装船了，耽误不得啊，此时，盐田港仓库的人跟我说，只能在他们那拆木托，换木托，一个木托收费260元。虽然这已经是天价了，但是没有办法，此时，货物能出去是最好的，平常我们一个木托才65元人民币。

用了4倍的价格买了一个经验教训。

现在我查资料才清楚明白

出口卡板的外观应平整，无裂缝、无霉斑、无木屑和异味，而且要具备防潮防雨措施，确保货物不受潮，还有一个高度的问题，海运限高是2米，空运限高是1.6米，货运时木卡板不能大于集装箱的尺寸。

另外，我们工厂用的是木卡板，出口需要进行熏蒸处理和IPPC盖章。在准备出口木卡板之前，要选择合适的熏蒸方式（热处理或化学处理），符合出口国当地的检疫标准。这是用实木的卡板要注意的，如果用夹板的木托，就可以直接出口，夹板是人工板，也叫胶合板，不是天然木材，所以没事。

做生意，真的处处是学问。还好这次数量不多，花点小钱买个教训，最终让货物赶上了船期没耽误运输。如果以后是几百卡板，那真的代价就大了。

There's no avoiding the tuition fees, and there's no skipping the pitfalls.

Here’s what happened:

Yesterday, we exported a batch of jewelry display props to Europe. The order placement, payment, production, and shipment went smoothly, all completed within 40 days.

Focusing on our expertise has been great. We not only manufacture watch and jewelry display cases but also display props for watches and jewelry. In China, it’s hard to find another factory with over 30 years of production experience like ours. Precisely because of our professionalism, the production process was particularly harmonious, with every colleague doing their part well, ultimately delivering perfect results.

Two days ago, the customer paid the final 20% balance, and the freight forwarder scheduled the pickup from the factory for this morning, with the vehicle type, weight, quantity, and pick-up documents all pre-arranged.

The large truck arrived at the factory at 8:30 in the morning, and loading began promptly at 9 o'clock, finishing up in just 20 minutes before it left.

By evening, the cargo had reached the warehouse in Shenzhen Yantian Port, where an issue was identified during inspection—the pallets we used were not compliant!

After a 30-minute discussion with the freight forwarder and multiple confirmations with the warehouse, it was clear that they were indeed unacceptable.

What could we do? With the cargo due to be loaded onto the ship the next day, delays were not an option. At this point, the warehouse personnel suggested dismantling and replacing the pallets on-site, charging 260 RMB per pallet. Although this was exorbitant—our usual cost is just 65 RMB per pallet—we had little choice but to accept. Getting the cargo out on time was the priority.

Only now, after checking the information, do I understand clearly:

Export pallets should be smooth without cracks, mold spots, wood chips, or odor, and must have moisture and rain protection measures to ensure the goods do not get damp. There is also a height limit; for sea freight, it is 2 meters, while for air freight, it is 1.6 meters. The size of the wooden pallet must not exceed the dimensions of the shipping container.

Additionally, since we use wooden pallets, they need to undergo fumigation treatment and be stamped with IPPC. Before preparing export wooden pallets, one needs to choose an appropriate fumigation method (heat treatment or chemical treatment) to meet the quarantine standards of the destination country. This is something to note when using solid wood pallets. If using plywood pallets, direct export is permissible as they are artificial boards, also known as composite wood, and not natural wood.

Doing business is indeed full of learning opportunities. Fortunately, this time the quantity was small, so we spent a bit more money to learn a lesson but managed to get the cargo on the ship without delaying the shipment. If it had been hundreds of pallets, the cost would have been significantly higher.
