来了三亚之后,花了一天时间逛了海旅免税城和CDF,太好逛了,买买买的同时也没忘记我们真正的任务。
后面去客人的公司喝茶聊了2个小时,其中他说到之前在广州一家展柜厂做珠宝展柜,做之前答应的好好的,结果做了之后那让他一个头晕啊,本身他还可以赚不少利润,结果最后还倒贴了钱。
聊到这里,他痛心啊,当时他也是刚接手展柜制作不久,之前从家私板块转行过来,是在网上找的制作厂家,也去厂里看过,看是真实的厂家就下单了。
下单后运输从广州到海南三亚,制作质量他说还过得去,当时对质量要求也不高,但是偏偏在运输环节出现问题,5节展柜,打了个简易3毫米的密度板包装,内部没有包严实,还是摇摇晃晃,然后发了物流过来,物流费出了几千元。
结果柜台到了三亚,物流公司并不送货的,这个能理解,送货是另加的费用,客户自己去提货,提到店里,拆开一看,全部都碎成渣渣了。
他就开始跟工厂协商,到底怎么处理这件事,店铺要营业,柜台又碎了。柜台厂又说不是他们的责任,出厂是好的,签收也是他自己签收的,现在只能让他在当地找玻璃店做玻璃缝补上去,最后补是补了,但是补的那是一个乱七八糟,他现在看到都不忍直视。
这种情况我们厂10多年前也遇到过,包装做的呢是封闭包装,而且底部也不做叉车位,这就会导致出现下游出货的物流方师傅不知道里面是什么,随便乱摆乱放,我只管把你送到,里面什么样我不管。
当年这种情况并不少见,每次出现后,工厂跟单的同事都积极配合,20分钟内快速反应客户需求,2小时给出方案,2天内都能解决问题,如果遇到特殊情况,要另行协商。
解决的态度是好,还是要从根本找到问题,问题就出在包装箱上,我们觉得是封闭的安全,所有的柜台都包在木箱里,其实这就造成了信息的闭塞,后来把国内运输的木箱改了做成开放式的,这样经手的所有人都清楚里面是个什么物件,是不是易碎品。
还有物流公司都是用叉车来运输的,不可能用手抬(一个柜子100kg),所以把木箱包装的底部呢也做了8公分的叉车位。这样子2处细节小改动之后,到现在10多年了,没有发生一起质量投诉事件,因为包装方式不当和运输过程中造成的破损,我没记错的话,一年就只有一次,只要出现破损,责任在于工厂的,都是无条件重新给客人制作。
这些小窍门我们也是在这行业摸索了30年才积累出来的,让客户少踩了很多坑。

After arriving in Sanya, I spent a day visiting Haicheng Duty-Free City and CDF Duty-Free Shop. They were fantastic places to shop, and we didn't forget our true mission while enjoying the experience.
Later, I went to the client's company, where we had tea and discussed for about two hours. During the conversation, he mentioned a previous experience with a jewelry display cabinet manufacturer in Guangzhou. Initially, everything seemed promising, but after the cabinets were made, he felt extremely frustrated. He could have made a good profit, but in the end, he ended up losing money.
He was particularly distressed by this experience. At the time, he had just started handling display cabinet production, having transitioned from the furniture sector. He found the manufacturer online, visited the factory, and placed the order after confirming it was a genuine manufacturer.
The cabinets were transported from Guangzhou to Sanya, and the quality was acceptable, though his standards at the time were not very high. However, problems arose during transportation. Five sections of the cabinets were packed in a simple 3mm density board, which was not tightly sealed and moved around inside the packaging. The logistics fee alone was several thousand yuan.
When the cabinets arrived in Sanya, the logistics company did not deliver them to the store, which is understandable as delivery is an additional charge. The client had to pick them up himself. Upon opening the packaging at the store, he found that all the cabinets were shattered.
He then began negotiations with the factory about how to handle the situation. The store needed to remain operational, but the cabinets were damaged. The factory claimed it was not their responsibility, stating that the cabinets were in good condition when they left the factory and that the client had signed for them. They suggested he find a local glass shop to repair the cabinets. Although the repairs were made, they were messy and unsightly, making it difficult for him to look at them now.
Our factory faced similar issues over a decade ago. We used to pack the cabinets in closed wooden boxes without forklift slots at the bottom. This led to handlers not knowing what was inside, resulting in careless handling. Back then, such incidents were not uncommon. Each time an issue arose, our factory's order-following colleagues responded quickly within 20 minutes, provided a solution within 2 hours, and resolved the problem within 2 days. Special cases required additional negotiation.
While the attitude towards resolution was positive, the root cause needed to be addressed. The problem lay in the packaging. We believed that closed packaging was safer, so all cabinets were packed in wooden boxes, which created a lack of transparency. We later changed the domestic transport wooden boxes to open designs, ensuring that everyone handling them knew what was inside and whether the items were fragile.
Additionally, logistics companies use forklifts for transportation, not manual lifting (each cabinet weighs about 100 kg). Therefore, we added 8 cm forklift slots to the bottom of the wooden boxes. After implementing these two minor changes, it has been over a decade without a single quality complaint due to improper packaging or damage during transportation. To the best of my knowledge, there has only been one incident per year, and whenever damage occurs, the factory takes full responsibility and unconditionally remakes the cabinets for the client.
These little tricks have been accumulated over 30 years of experience in the industry, helping clients avoid many pitfalls.
